Southeast board renews its open enrollment policy

SOUTHEAST DISTRICT -- The board on Feb. 18 renewed its open
enrollment policy, a policy the superintendent said is financially
beneficial.
"I'd rather have the problem we have now (of more students coming
into the district) ... than be on the opposite end of the spectrum
scrambling to break even," Superintendent Steve Sayers said.
Open enrollment allows students who live in neighboring districts
to attend Southeast schools.
