Fishermen, feds debate sea lions' fate

Sea lions feasting on endangered salmon below the Bonneville Dam could fall within the cross hairs of state and tribal authorities if a measure calling for their lethal removal is approved.

Responding to complaints about a drastic increase in the number of sea lions feasting on fish runs below the dam, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration may allow tribal and state authorities to kill up to 85 sea lions annually over a three-year period.
