Shelton woman named Booth Hill School principal

During her years as an educator, Kathy Sheehy has taught as far away as Illinois and as close as Orange. But now she feels she is finally home.

That's because Sheehy will become the Booth Hill School principal July 1. The Board of Education Wednesday approved her appointment, succeeding longtime Principal Sandy Mahoney.

"It's always been in my mind" to work in Shelton, said the long- time city resident and Shelton High School graduate. "I grew up in Shelton, I live here now and my children went to Booth Hill School."
