Hamden renews rooftop heliport permit

For the second time in as many years, the Planning and Zoning Commission has approved a heliport for the roof of an office building in the center of town.

Chairman Joseph McDonagh said Wednesday the commission approved the heliport application for another year, "virtually as it was a year ago."

As part of the conditions of approval, usage would be limited to five takeoffs or landings a month, but not round trips, McDonagh said.
