After nor'easter's turbulence, harp seal takes a break in Milford
|
-MILFORD -- A young harp seal is taking a vacation on the
shoreline. The marine mammal popped up Monday at Silver Sands State
Park, then swam to the Fort Trumbull Beach area, finally ending at
Milford Harbor off Rogers Avenue. According to experts, the seal was
tired and looking for some rest and relaxation. Native to the North
Atlantic and Arctic oceans, harp seals are not rare in this region.
