'Rembrandt's Journey' takes us deep inside the human character

Painter, storyteller, draftsman extraordinaire, society portrait artist, psychologist before there was such a thing, introspective truth teller. Rembrandt van Rijn was all these and more, a painter whose talent was so prodigious that his work towers over that of all his contemporaries and continues to intrigue us 350 years after it was made. Now, a major exhibition showcasing Rembrandt's talents as draftsman and printmaker, which opened at the Art Institute of Chicago last weekend, is already attracting crowds as students of both art and human behavior line up for repeat viewings.
