Linthicum: Eagle Scout's project commemorates St. Philip Neri

As his grand service project, Stanley J. Topa III, the latest Eagle Scout from Troop 447, chose to commemorate a saint whose name is familiar to the local community.

Mr. Topa, an 18-year-old freshman at the University of Maryland- Baltimore County, drew the original sketches and design for a mural of St. Philip Neri that now is displayed in the parish center at St. Philip Neri Roman Catholic Church, 6405 S. Orchard Road. Mr. Topa and 12 helpers finished the project in 153 hours.
