Prophet preaches joys of rock 'n' roll

Chuck Prophet's scratchy, shouting rock 'n' roll voice gives Mick Jagger's a run for its money.

But Prophet has never had Jagger's celebrity.

He still doesn't.

"I've been under the radar," Prophet admitted in a phone interview from his home in San Francisco.

"I've just eked out kind of something bordering on a career. ... There's a lot of us guys out there. Some of them are grading papers somewhere, some working in bookstores."
