Muir of Ord windfarm plan wins approval from council
|
Highland councillors yesterday unanimously approved plans for a
windfarm near Muir of Ord, after previously deferring a decision
because bridges in the area were not strong enough to support
vehicles transporting turbines.
The Ross, Skye and Lochaber planning committee gave the go-ahead
for proposals by Scottish and Southern (SSE) for a 20-turbine scheme
on land on the Fairburn Estate.
Plans had been previously deferred by councillors to allow a full
assessment.
