New LCCC dorm clears state hurdle

CHEYENNE - A state panel voted unanimously Friday to approve a request from Laramie County Community College to build a nearly $24 million residence hall at the campus here.

In a 4-0 vote, the Wyoming Community College Commission approved plans to build dorms at LCCC and Western Wyoming Community College in Rock Springs.

The proposals have to go before the Wyoming Legislature and Gov. Dave Freudenthal for approval.
