Hunt follows M-way tragedy

THE hunt for a mystery driver was continuing last night after a lorry driver was killed when his HGV swerved off a motorway and hit a roadside sign.

Police believe three vehicles were involved in the crash, which happened on the northbound carriageway of the M18 close to its junction with the A1M.

Officers said the victim, who has not yet been named, lost control as he was being overtaken by a Ford HGV at about 3am on Saturday.
