Heliport operator seeks permanent site in Plum

Cherokee Helicopter Service hopes to turn a heliport it used
during the U.S. Open last summer into a permanent fixture in Plum.
But the Ford City-based company first must give some additional
information to the borough before its request to operate the
heliport on Eastern Avenue in the East Oakmont section of Plum will
be considered by the planning commission.
