Show casts spell on captive crowd
|
There were only a handful of seats left at the Victoria Hall,
Hanley, on Friday night and you have to wonder whether it was the
orchestra, soloist or conductor, the brilliantly approachable John
Wilson, that the audience had turned out to see.
Making a welcome return to the venue to lead the Halle as they
performed for his 'favourite' audience, Wilson, as expected, added
something a little different to the night, bridging the often
untouchable gap between performer and layman.
