American Cancer Society honors county volunteers

DAYTON -- The American Cancer Society recently honored its leading Montgomery County volunteers for 2007.

Eugene Heflin, the society's board president, gave each honoree an etched glass award.

"Part of being a volunteer for the American Cancer Society is that you're constantly giving of yourself to fight the disease without looking for recognition," he said. "I want to personally thank all of our volunteers for what they've helped us to do in 2007."
