Sara Lee to muscle in on men's pajama market

Sara Lee Corp.'s efforts to create trendier fashions now includes men's pajamas, whose sales are growing because women are wearing the pants as casualwear.

No date has been set for the mens' pajamas introduction, but the Chicago-based company recently launched its "Hanes Her Way" brand of women's pajamas at Wal-Mart stores.

Marshal Cohen, co-president of NPDFashionworld, a Port Washington, N.Y.-based market information firm, said most PJ manufacturers have yet to notice the latest fashion trend: Women are wearing men's drawstring PJ pants as casual clothes.
