Polygamist's brother gets probation for aiding fugitive

A man accused of helping his fugitive polygamist brother hide from authorities was sentenced to three years probation Friday in federal court.

Seth Jeffs, 33, was arrested on a traffic stop in Pueblo last October and charged with harboring a fugitive.

His older brother, Warren Jeffs, is the leader of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, a polygamist sect that split from the traditional Mormon church in the late 1890s after the Mormons renounced polygamy...
