The two financiers behind three statewide ballot measures pumped
more of their own money into the campaigns last month.
Ron Unz, the Silicon Valley entrepreneur behind the measure to
virtually eliminate bilingual education in the state's public
schools, loaned an additional $75,000 to that campaign. That brings
his loans to more than $350,000 at 0 percent interest.
