FOREVER YOUNG `VOICE OF DENVER' GENE AMOLE DIES AT 78

Denver has lost a giant.
Gene Amole, a newspaper columnist who celebrated the city he loved
and fought those who would change it forever, died Sunday, 12 days
shy of his 79th birthday.
Amole, who had been in declining health for several years, died at
his home of multi-systems failure.
Gene was best known for his columns in the Rocky Mountain News,
but it was a role he didn't come to until he was 54.
