Rory Russell was a revelation when he won the John Fussell Award for young musicians a few weeks ago.

His performance was a pure delight and his relaxed style won over his audience.

At his recital this week, he took it a step further giving a wonderful performance as a solo guitarist and then joined three colleagues to perform as the Aquarelle Quartet.

And it was his laid-back approach, together with a superb technique, which gave the concert a refreshing edge.
