Many histories of the Scunthorpe Co-op will mention local branches by their number, which means nothing to younger readers.

In fact most of the branches the Co-op once had are no longer there and have been converted into houses or alternative retail outlets.

A full list of grocers was included on the rear of the Scunthorpe Co-op's internal magazine in February 1961.

The Central stores were at 177 to 179 High Street, Scunthorpe.
