Field day to feature goats

ALBANY, Mo. - In addition to traditional profit-oriented research on corn and soybeans, the Sept. 8 field day at the Hundley-Whaley Center will feature some rather out-of-the-ordinary work.

"Our newest project involves goats," said Bruce Burdick, University of Missouri agronomist and head of the 360-acre research farm at the southwest corner of Albany.

"That's quite a shift for this place," he said of the center historically known for cutting-edge no-till cropping and herbicide research.
