Tucked into a new state law aimed at revitalizing downtown areas is a provision that could impact economic growth throughout St. Joseph.

The Missouri Downtown Economic Stimulus Act, which Gov. Bob Holden signed into law July 7, contained an amendment authorizing a satellite enterprise zone in St. Joseph.
