Goodman has died at his South Hams home.
The 86-year-old from Frogmore, near Kingsbridge, worked for his
community and church later in life but was proud of his RAF career
which earned him the Distinguished Flying Cross and Bar and also the
Air Force Cross.
Group Captain Goodman joined the RAF Reserve in 1936, learned to
fly in Tiger Moths and when war broke out in 1939, at 19, he was the
youngest captain in his squa...
