A nostalgic flower festival staged with Dame Agatha Christie in mind has raised over pounds3,000 for a Torbay church where she regularly worshipped.

The Queen of Crime was the theme for the recent Churston Parish Church festival with more than 20 arrangements on show.

Jointly organised through the parochial church council by Sylvia Stevenson, Wendy Colley and Betty Webberly, the show attracted hundreds of visitors.
