Beside the Teign High on my list of favourite rivers are the Dart, Exe and Teign. Like most of the UK's rivers they are still in the process of evolution that reaches back over millennia, or millions of years.

High on my list of favourite rivers are the Dart, Exe and Teign.
Like most of the UK's rivers they are still in the process of
evolution that reaches back over millennia, or millions of years.
But when I returned to a familiar stretch of the Teign that day in
late August it was the present that fascinated me.
I wondered what the wildlife-rich lowlands near Teigngrace would
come up with. Downstream below Ventiford Cottage I walked beside the
river beyond the Ventiford Brook to Kin...
