The crew of the Hull And Humber Clipper have reached the famous
stretch of calm waters in their race to Salvador.
But some of them didn't even notice.
Hull Daily Mail reporter Jane Harper is taking part in the race.
She told the Telegraph: "So it seems we are in the Doldrums,
although the sailing has been so lively I didn't even realise.
"Having waited in nervous anticipation for days to sail through
the renowned area of calm waters, I have to say the experience has
