French underground Journey back 15,000 years in cave art

MONTIGNAC, France--As we climbed through the cave, my 14-year-old
son, Jake, said things were going OK, "except for those little pointy
things that dripped on my head."
It was our first plunge into the subterranean world for which the
valley of France's Vezere River is renowned, but this was not really
an ideal choice. The cave, called La Grotte de Villars, is mostly
about speleology, something that holds almost no interest for my
family.
So, what were we doing there?
