Minke whales off Stonehaven were one of the highlights of a national event.

Bottlenose dolphins and a porpoise were also spotted off Aberdeenshire and the Moray Firth in the annual watch week organised by the Sea Watch Foundation.

Eight species of dolphins and whales - including rare sightings of killer whales - were seen in Scottish waters during the event.
