Sports complex dedicated to Lidle

The New York Yankees pitcher Cory Lidle would be proud of the Big
League Dreams Sports Complex dedicated to him on Saturday.
The South Hills High all-star would be even prouder of his
hometown of West Covina, which went out of its way to honor the local
lad who was killed a little more than a year ago in an airplane
accident in New York City.
Even the weather cooperated.
Earlier in the week, Southern California was like a living hell
for some as Santa Ana winds fanned flames that threatened thousands.
A fine ash covered the Southland.
