Nelson's Saturday market owner-operator Nita Knight is considering increasing the price for stallholders.

Ms Knight said the price, ranging from about $15 to $25 a stall, "hasn't been increased for quite a lot of years now''.

"The prices don't really reflect the value of the services.''

She said she was considering increasing it to get it "a little bit more in perspective''.

"It's not going to be a huge increase. Probably around $5.

"I'm just getting some feedback at the moment - I haven't sorted it out totally.''
