R-R jet deal boost for East Kilbride workers

EAST Kilbride workers are to share in a major jobs boost created
by a GBP4billion order for a new fleet of long haul planes.
British Airways has agreed to buy 12 Airbus A380 superjumbos and
24 Boeing 787 Dreamliners, as reported in later editions of the
Evening Times last night.
The massive deal - BA's biggest order in a decade - means job
security for more than 3000 workers spread across three sites in and
around Glasgow as the planes will be powered by engines made by Rolls-
