A MEMORIAL garden dedicated to the nine people killed in the Maryhill disaster was unveiled today.

Designers were putting the finishing touches to the new garden of remembrance as relatives prepared to mark the third anniversary of the tragedy tomorrow.

The garden space is dominated by nine standing stones - one for every life lost.

Each stone has a plaque containing a personal tribute to the victim, written by family members.

The Stockline factory explosion killed five men and four women and injured 40 other people.
