A US warship threatened to blow up a tiny passenger ferry after it
became unwittingly caught up in an international war exercise at sea.
A threat by the warship to blow up any unidentified ships was
accidentally transmitted to the small Kilcreggan to Gourock ferry as
it made its regular 10minute crossing.
The skipper of the MV Kenilworth was alarmed when told that his
boat would be fired at if he did not identify himself.
