Pupils will dig deep to find water in Africa Ugandan trip

THIRTEEN pupils from a Glasgow school are flying to Uganda,
Africa, to help provide a clean water supply for a village.
The Castlemilk High youngsters will attempt to improve the lives
of people in Buzaya, where there is no electricity or running water.
They will dig a fresh well and build two water towers to catch
fresh rain. It is hoped the work will make a long-term difference to
the lives of the 300 villagers and a further 2000 who stay in the
surrounding area.
The pupils are trying to raise at least GBP19,000 to help buy all
the equipment they need for the project and to pay their travel ...
