Students in shock win on TV quiz; Strathclyde rises to University Challenge

GLASGOW students have beaten the cream of Oxford in University Challenge.

The Strathclyde University foursome humbled their rivals by 45 points in the prestigious TV quiz show, filmed last week.

But BBC bosses are furious the result has leaked before the show is to be aired in October.

Quizmaster Jeremy Paxman was said to be "flabbergasted" by the outcome after calling Oxford's St Hugh's College team one of the best in the competition.
