Theatres hit as workers hold 24-hour strike; Shows face disruption in dispute over conditions

THEATRE staff in Glasgow were today staging a 24-hour strike over
working conditions.
Several events at the Mitchell Theatre and the Tramway have been
hit by the walkout.
The one-day stoppage comes on top of a work-to-rule after staff
claimed Glasgow City Council was changing their conditions of
employment.
Workers also accused theatre managers of threatening to discipline
union members for taking part in the industrial action.
