Blow on hopes for 140mph London trains; Virgin told track may never cope with top speed

TRAIN passengers will have to wait until 2006 for high-speed
Glasgow to London services, it was announced today.
Furious rail bosses have delayed the launch of 125mph services for
another four years - and have been told the track may never cope with
the trains' 140mph top speed.
Virgin had planned to start running new tilting trains on the
route this year.
The company wanted to slash journey times between Glasgow and
