Sky workers summoned to hotel - then made redundant

TELEVISION company Sky Digital has made 24 installers working in the South West redundant.

The installers travelled to a Bristol hotel from as far afield as Plymouth, Torquay, Exeter and Cardiff to get the news, given with immediate effect, and had to return their company vans on the spot. They were sent home in minibuses.

None of the affected staff was from Bristol.
