DON'T EAT THAT MUSHROOM IN YOUR LAWN
|
The mild temperatures and abundant rain of the last few weeks has
prompted various mushrooms, toadstools and other fungal bodies to
appear in lawns, landscapes and gardens. The vast majority of these
are merely nuisances and do not necessarily indicate any serious
problems.
However, I have been asked more than once whether these fungi are
edible. I keep remembering what one of my college professors said
when asked about munching mushrooms:
