Jos. A. Bank, the upscale men's clothier, is headed for Evansville.

The apparel retailer is expected to open shop around Feb. 1 in the Evansville Pavilion, off the corner of the Lloyd Expressway and Burkhardt Road, on the city's East Side.

Bruce Goodman, the pavilion's principal owner, announced the new clothing store Wednesday in a phone interview from his Jenkintown, Pa., corporate headquarters.

Jos. A. Bank is considered by some clothes fanciers as being in the same league as classic Brooks Brothers and Hartmarx.
