A U.S. Army contractor weeks away from starting the destruction of a deadly nerve agent stockpile may be able to significantly cut the amount of a chemical byproduct created by the project.

A recent report by Parsons Technology Inc. concluded that it can safely neutralize twice as much VX nerve agent per chemical reactor load as originally planned.
