CHEMICAL DEPOT GETS SOME GOOD NEWS BYPRODUCT FROM DEADLY NERVE AGENT CAN BE REDUCED, ARMY CONTRACTOR SAYS

A U.S. Army contractor weeks away from starting the destruction of
a deadly nerve agent stockpile may be able to significantly cut the
amount of a chemical byproduct created by the project.
A recent report by Parsons Technology Inc. concluded that it can
safely neutralize twice as much VX nerve agent per chemical reactor
load as originally planned.
If the Army neutralizes the VX at the greater rate, it would
