The Galatia High School boys basketball team came into the season with high hopes because the Bearcats return seven players who saw substantial time on last season's 16-11 team.

But the early season hasn't been easy for Galatia. The Bearcats opened last week in the Grayville Thanksgiving Tournament with a first-round game against underdog Norris City-Omaha-Enfield, and were fortunate to come away with a win.
