EVANSVILLE SHARES SUCCESS STORIES IN ALL-AMERICA PITCH

Evansville is a stronger city when children such as Joi Merray, 9, and Vanessa Johnson, 11, can stay after school four days a week to learn the violin.

It's a more prosperous city when residents such as 23-year-old Lisa Loftus don't have to leave to pursue an engineering degree.

And it's a healthier city when a retired nurse such as Jenny O'Connor can help coordinate school programs that promote proper diet and exercise.

A delegation from Evansville is in Atlanta this weekend to share those and other success stories with the rest of the United States. Members hope a panel of judges will be ...
