The way Heather Buckman sees it, steady progress is good progress.

The Grayville High School volleyball team improved this season to 11 wins in 33 matches -- which "may still seem to be not that good," Buckman said, "but the record doesn't reflect the kind of team we had."

"We are much more competitive than we have been for the last four or five years," Buckman said. "We don't have a lot of experience in getting the (wins), but that's coming along."
