GALLERY QUILTED ART HONORS INSPIRATIONAL WOMEN

Rebekka Seigel is blanketing the Evansville Museum's Old Gallery
in tribute to inspirational women. The Owenton, Ky., quiltmaker
was at the museum this week to deliver a series of pieced-together
depictions of more than a dozen American women "who are inspiring, or
who were pioneers in their fields," she said.
The show, which opens Sunday, will showcase patched, pieced,
appliqued and batiked quilted impressions of women from
entertainment, the arts, sports, politics, social sciences and social
activism.
They include singer Ella Fitzgerald, athlete Babe Didrikson, folk
