A boil-water advisory caused some West Side restaurants to open late Monday while several others were forced to close for the day.

O'Charley's restaurant on Pearl Drive did not open until general manager Linda Lloyd rounded up enough bottled water, canned soft drinks and bagged ice to serve customers throughout the day.
