Ethanol: No quick fix
|
ETHANOL supporters are ever more vocal in promoting their fuel,
often made from corn, as an environmentally friendly panacea for
America's potential energy shortages and dependence on imported oil.
But ethanol's critics are growing more vocal, too.
"The U.S. ethanol program has mutated into a huge tax-finance
boondoggle whose costs far outweigh its benefits," write Ernest C.
