Capitol Woman's Club to present Woodhull re-enactor

The Capitol Woman's Club will host a "History Alive!" presentation of a Wood County actor re-creating and detailing the life of the nation's first female presidential candidate, Victoria Woodhull, on Tuesday, Nov. 21.

The public is invited to attend the program, which will get underway at 6 p.m. at the Woman's Club headquarters at the corners of Virginia and Elizabeth streets in the East End section of downtown Charleston.

Woodhull (1838-1927) challenged Ulysses S. Grant in the presidential election of 1872.
