Harpers Ferry: Support preservation

GOOD news: An effort to expand Harpers Ferry National Park continues to gather support. In May, the U.S. Senate passed a bill by Sen. Robert C. Byrd to expand the park from its current 2,505 acres to 3,745. The expansion would take in surrounding farmland and hills important to preserving Harpers Ferry's vistas and integrity.

Rep. Shelley Moore Capito recently offered the House of Representatives a companion bill to allow for the expansion. This is happy news.
