FMC seeking incentives to stay in South Charleston

State and local officials are offering FMC a package of economic
incentives to keep them in South Charleston, according to a union
official.
FMC officials are considering shutting down the hydrogen peroxide
production facility and shifting the production to Bayport, Texas. If
that happens, about 60 people would lose their jobs.
Dink Brua, an FMC employee and union committeeman, said the
company still might retain the facility in South Charleston, if they
can make improvements to the plant.
